Vending

UNC Charlotte contracts with Canteen, Coca-Cola, and Pepsi-Cola to provide vending services on campus.  The contracts are administered by the Auxiliary Services Department which falls under the Business Affairs Division of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. 

The contract vendors supply 12-ounce canned and 20-ounce bottled soda, 20-ounce bottled water, 20-ounce fruit-juice based drinks, bagged snacks, crackers, candy, pastry, and coffee.

Most vending machines on campus are equipped with a BlackBoard Optim 9000 debit card reader allowing students, faculty, staff, and visitors to purchase vended product with money deposited in their 49er Account.   The 49er  Account may also be used for purchases in the campus bookstore, dining facilities, copiers, Copy Center, Cone Center Candy Counter, SAC game room, and laundry facilities.  The 49er  Account is required as payment for prints in the open-use computer labs and  Atkins Library printers.
