  SPECIFIC FORMAT

All mail needs a delivery and return address. For the best possible service you should: Capitalize everything in the address, Use 2 letter abbreviations (Click here), Eliminate all punctuation (except the hyphen b/w ZIP Code and plus 4), Use common abbreviations (Click here), and use Zip+ 4 Codes. The following information is recommended in the sequence and positions indicated for addressing: (see below)

  CHANGE OF ADDRESS

As soon as you learn of your new location and campus box number, send change of address cards to respective correspondents. University Mail Services is not equipped to reroute mail.

  LABEL PLACEMENT

Labels for use on parcels, packages or large envelopes must be addressed according to the recommended format. The address must be complete. Improperly prepared labels will be returned to you for correction and/or completion. See Exhibit Addressing Parcels.
